"My mission is to rescue forgotten furniture, celebrate sustainable craftsmanship, and create beautiful, one-of-a-kind pieces that inspire people to see value where others see waste."
Because every piece deserves a second chance
Hello, I'm Kerrie
Rag to Rich was born from my belief that everything deserves a second chance.
After many years working as a senior leader within the NHS, I built my career around improving services, solving problems and helping people. But away from work, I always found myself drawn to something completely different — bringing forgotten furniture back to life.
What began with rescuing discarded pieces from charity shops, auctions and items otherwise destined for landfill quickly became a real passion. I found myself seeing beauty where others saw waste, imagining what each piece could become with a little creativity, patience and care.
Eventually, that passion became impossible to ignore.
Today, Rag to Rich allows me to combine my love of design and creativity with something equally important to me — sustainability. I take unwanted and forgotten furniture and transform it into beautiful, bespoke statement pieces, giving each one a new purpose and a new chapter.
Every cabinet, dresser, bedside table and sideboard has its own story. Rather than seeing quality furniture replaced by mass-produced alternatives, I carefully restore, redesign and reimagine each piece by hand. The result is something completely individual, with its own character, history and personality.
For me, upcycling isn't just about furniture.
It's about seeing potential where others see waste and proving that, with imagination, craftsmanship and care, yesterday's forgotten pieces can become tomorrow's favourite possessions.
And that's what Rag to Rich is all about. ❤️
